I have been Astronomy Secretary for over 20 years and secretary to the 10th Astronomer Royal for Scotland since his appointment in 1995. In addition I provide secretarial support for the Group Leader and Research Staff of the Particle Physics Theory Group.
I am a Scottish Country Dancer and hold a Teacher's Certificate awarded by the Royal Scottish Country Dance Society founded in Glasgow in 1923. As a former demonstration dancer with the RSCDS Glasgow Branch Demonstration Team I have represented Glasgow overseas, participated in the Opening Ceremony of the 13th Commonwealth Games (Edinburgh) and performed in the Royal Albert Hall, London.
